We will start practicing on January 4th.
PreK-2nd will practice 3:30-4:00 (5yrs old and up)
The others will practice at 4:00 till when ever the coaches say they are done.
The practices will be in the Fine Arts Gym.
I will be getting the AAU cards to you that week. If you need one earlier let me know so we can get ready for you. I will also be handing out singlets as soon as I can. I do have some wrestling shoes for kids to use, if any one else has some that are too small for their wrestler(s), please bring them to the first practice.

AAU Meeting
There will be a meeting at 7:00 pm, in the high school computer room on Dec.10th. We will be having sign up and talk about coaches and when we want to start. I put a annnouncement in the profit and the paper also. Hope to see ya there. Nicole

STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT
SATURDAY & SUNDAY, MARCH 27 & 28, 2010

Brookings, SD
Weigh-Ins: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday March 26 One Pound Allowance!
6:00 am – 7:00 am, Saturday March 27 One Pound Allowance!
All athletes must have an AAU card previous to the State Tournament.
A copy of your birth certificate is strongly recommended.
Saturday Schedule: 8:00 am Tots, Bantams, Midgets, and Girls wrestle through
4th round wrestle backs. Placing rounds to be wrestled
on Sunday.
Noon: Novice, Schoolboy, and Cadets will begin wrestling immediately following the conclusion
of the first three divisions and girls on their mat. These divisions will also wrestle through the 4th round of wrestle backs.
7:30 pm Mike Bliss & The Incredible Bliss Brothers.
Groups with less than 5 participants will finish on Saturday.
Sunday Schedule: 8:00 am Prayer service, directed by Sioux Falls
College head wrestling coach Tim Homan.
8:40 am Parade of Champions. Place winners and
participants wishing to participate. Wrestlers
will enter by town. Clubs are encouraged to
bring team banners.
8:50 am Division I national qualifier, Tyler Sorenson
addresses athletes and parents.
9:00 am Placing matches start with Tot division.
Ticket Office Hours: Friday 5pm – 8pm
Saturday 6am – 3pm
Sunday 7am – 2pm
Entry Fee: $15/wrestler Coaching Fee: $40(card must have SDWCA Stamp,
Fee includes 2-day pass)
Admission: Adults $15/day or 2 Day Pass $25
Students $5/day
-The numbering system will be used; athletes will be wrestling on the same mat all day
Saturday. Sunday’s placing round mat assignments will be published in the
program.
-Unfilled spots can be filled with other wrestlers, 4th place at Midget 75 can declare 3rd
place Midget 80 if spot is empty, athlete cannot go down in weight. Talk to your
region director and make the change before you leave the Region site. It will be
first come first served basis, call 605-696-4204 with your request, leave a
message including; athletes name, town, division and weight wrestled, and spot
you are requesting. Brackets will be updated periodically on ncyw.com.

motel rooms for state
Anyone needing a motel room for the state tournament in Brookings, please let Marsha Johnson know ASAP. She will be cancelling the ones we don't need or want by Monday. Thanks everyone.
